Visit the great cities of Italy: Rome, Florence, Venice 19 March 2010 - 27 March 2010. 1st class accommodations, breakfast daily, some dinners, sightseeing. Highlights include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, the Leaning Tower of Pis, the Adacemy of fine Arts and Cathedral in Florence, St. Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace and Bride of Sighs in Venice.
- Day 1 Depart U.S.
- Arrive Rome. At 6PM meet your Tour Director and leave for a special welcome dinner.
- Rome sightseeing includes the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel. Visit St. Peter's Square, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum.
- Depart Rome along the Aurelian Way along the Tyrrhenian coast to Pisa. See the Leaning Tower. On to Florence for 2 nights.
- Visit the Academy of Fine Arts to see Michelangelo's David and the cathedral. Admire Giott's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's heavy bronze "Gat of Paradise," and Signoria Square.
- Travel north to Verone, medieval setting of "Romeo and Juliet." Continue to Venice.
- Start the day by private boat and then ejoy a walking tour of St. Mark's Square and the Basilica, the Doges' Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Watch skilled glassblowers fashion their delicate objects.
- Travel through the plains of the River Po, across the wooded apennine mountain range and past the vine-and olive-clas Tuscan Hills. Arrive Rome.
- Depart Rome for the U.S.
